Description

For four centuries the chateau was owned by the same noble family of winemakers. During the restoration much attention was paid to the preservation of authentic elements such as beautiful stone floors, beamed ceilings, plaster mouldings and fireplaces. In the chateau itself are several reception rooms, a grand living room with fireplace, dining room and a kitchen with adjoining south facing terrace with views over the valley. A monumental stone staircase gives access to the first and second floor with (bed)rooms and bathrooms. One wing is of the chateau is furnished as an independent apartment. The inner courtyard, with access via an elegant pigeonnier, is formed by several barns (one barn is currently used as a party and concert hall), the old bread oven and an independent guest house. At the entrance is the concierge house. The swimming pool is located in a sunny spot on the lower grounds of the chateau.
